Tigers 5, Lightning Pumpkins 2: For the Tigers, Kyra Masone, Peri Meeker, and Elena Sughrue each scored, and Molly Morgan and Katherine Rowan contributed great all-around play. Catie Teixiera and Maddie Greenhaw led the way on offense for the Pumpkins. Anna Metzker and Bella Battaglia anchored the defense. Alexis Woods and Keira Wrage contributed great team spirit.

U8

Lightning 3, The Ligthning Strikes 1: For the Lightning, Carlie Smith had two unassisted goals and assisted on another scored by Elizabeth Texiera. Hannah Sepp played well on offense, with Nicole Fisher and Ellie Moxham playing strong defense. For The Lightning Strikes, Hailey Wilson scored the lone goal. Olivia Cornett and Taegan Smith were solid on defense and Paige Psichpaidas was strong in goal.

Wildcats 5 Net Rippers 0: The Wildcats attack was led by Kaley Meisenheimer with a hat trick (plus two assists), Shauna Tucker (one goal, one assist) and Laura Augenbraun (one goal). Colleen Phaneuf and Erin Phaneuf played a strong all-around game. Defensively, the Wildcats were led by the strong performance of Ruby Rose Rankin and Kaia Gioffre. The Net Rippers fell behind early in the first half, 5-0. After a motivational half-time speech, the Net Rippers were able to hold off any more scoring opportunities. Shea Murphy and Julia Kannan had great stops in the goal. Annie Morosky, Gabby Mogollon, and Gwen Drew stopped attacks time and time again. Brigitte Marino and Julia Klein kept attacking the goal looking to break through.

Mustangs 2, Blue Breeze 1: For the Mustangs, Karsen Pirone scored both goals, while Holly Ankers and Emily Tressler had the assists. Caroline Tousignant and Meredith Taylor controlled the defense. Aniko Walsh and Kaitlyn King played great all- around games. For the Blue Breeze, Mary Celentano scored, while Corrin Bottom and Olivia Buckler played fine offensive games. Bailey Buchetto and Maddie Stites were strong defensively. Charlotte Branchflower and Katie Stan were brilliant in goal.

U10

Twisters 7, American Eagles 3: The Twisters spun by the American Eagles by a score of 7-3. For the Twisters, Isabella Galassi, Janyce Toth, and Elizabeth Weisgerber contributed goals for the away team. Heidi Poarch and Emma Stierle played very strong overall. For the American Eagles, Hana Rosenthal, Cathy Hyeon, and Caroline Viselli all scored goals, with assist help from Kaysie Fisher. Grace Sholtes played well on both sides of the ball.

Stamford Gold 7, Newtown Sparks 3: The Sparks played strong against a fierce offensive force with quick thinking defensive efforts by Jackie Seras, Nathalie Schickendantz, and Sarah Widmann. The Sparks effort to get on the board was a stellar hat-trick by Kristen Cirone.

 Fairfield Green 4, Newtown Sparks 0: The Sparks defense was under fire but stuck with it to keep Fairfield to only four goals. Their defense was led by Gabrielle Reisert, Lindsay Merrifield, Madi Ziperstien, and Kiera Sughrue. Outstanding performances in the goal from Jackie Seras and Kristen Cirone rounded out a strong defensive front.

 Golden Eagles 4, Twisters 1: For the Golden Eagles, Emma “Hat-Trick” Curtis and Simone Paradis were able to weave their way through the twisting defense to hit the back of the net on some nice long runs. Sydney Howard kept life in the fast lane throughout the midfield and Lauryn Ankers stayed on the border and made numerous saves in a tough second half. For the Twisters, Isabella DeLeon was a force to be reckoned with on defense and Cailin Blessey demonstrated “Pele-like” ball control. Julie Raigosa threaded the needle and scored a long distance goal.

Smurfs 2, Dynamites 1: Claire Dubois scored on an assist by Angela Vodola, and Veronica Vodola scored another goal for the Smurfs. Midfield play was controlled by strong play by Lin Vitarbo and Jenna Ehnot in the win. Sage Karp scored for the Dynamite. Victoria Keayes and Alexis Fortugno played well.

U14

Chaos 2, Oompah Loompas 0: For the Chaos, goals were scored by Keira Veillette and Alexandra Dittrich with assists by Jesse Sailer and Ashley Marks. Margo Elkins, Kayla DiSibio, and Morgan Goldstein anchored the defense as Anna Baxter and Danielle Agugliaro controlled the midfield. For the Oompah Loompas, Maryyam Ali provided strong goaltending. Elizabeth Delp and Briana Baranoski led the defense, while Caroline Cole and Melissa Shohet provided strong midfield play.

Smiters 1, Oompah Loompas 0: Stephanie Haas put home a rebound off a hard shot from Carly Grossano to give the Smiters the victory in a close game. Haley Taylor and Sarah MacMullan were great in goal, Lizzie Wojcik, Katerina Ringes, and Emma Burns anchored a strong backline effort. For the Oompah Loompas, Tessa Leon-Gambetta and Rachel Jacuzzi led a strong defensive effort. Midfielders Mackenzie Maccchiario andAbby Winters and forward Sara Lampel played an excellent game supporting the offense.

Rockets 4, SWAT 2: Goals scored for the SWAT team were by Megan Olszewski and Raquel Crespo. Madeline Marlin and Catherine McHugh played very well. For the Rockets, goals were scored by Hannah Booth, Makenzie Casey, and Jess Coughlin. Solid overall performances were turned in by Megan Milano and Danielle Scarpa.

U8

Team Eight 7, Warriors 3: Scoring for the Warriors were Devin O’Connell with and Johnathan Radatovich, with two. Multiple saves were made in goal for the Warriors by Evan Booth and Collin Hoffman, while Charlie Graven controlled play at midfield.

Team Four 5, Warriors 2: Bryce Benson and CJ Cuomo scored the only two goals for The Warriors. The whole team fought hard throughout the game, led by Daniel Delia who was relentless on defense. Brandon Manka was an aggressive goalkeeper, diving numerous times to stop shots on goal.

 Nighthawks 5, Champions 0: Tanner Trede (three goals) and Jack Petersen (one goal) led the Nighthawks over the Champions in this well-played match. Colin Zhang also added his first goal of the year. Andrew Bazuro, Max Cruwys-Hayes, and Jake Mailloux were all over the field as well. The Champions played aggressively in the first half and kept the game close with great plays made on offense by Zachary Masone and Milan Chand. Defensively, André Boily, Miller Tetreault, and James Ciaramello hustled to the ball and kept the game close. Great sportsmanship was demonstrated by several players on both teams throughout the game.

Vipers 4, Team One 2: Brandon Lutz had a strong all-around game and scored twice. Thomas Armstrong had another good week, scoring the other two goals. Andrew Jacobs had a great game with smart plays and well-executed passes.

U14

A-Team 4, Predators 2: In a very well-played game, the A-Team came back from a 2-1 halftime deficit to defeat the Predators. The A-Team was led by the outstanding goalie play of Patrick Olah and Charles Soto, who did not allow a goal in his goalie debut. Tim Vander Have led the A-Team offense with three goals, with Tommie Shaker adding another. The midfield play of Michael Biancardi, Sawyer Conrad, Casper De Wit, and Kieran Lynch controlled the game, setting up an impressive 18 shots on goal. Lukas Palumbo and Kaustav Mitra anchored the defense. For the Predators, Thomas Gavel led the offense with two goals, with the great support up front coming from Henry Lyon and Nathyn Horvath. Brenden Reeds, and Erik Mihok secured the midfield to slow down the opposing offense.

D5 2, A-Team 2: Both teams played extremely well Monday night, creating many chances. The D5 was on its heels for most of the night, but managed to equalize after each of the A-Team goals. Spencer Tolson scored twice on assists from Joe Stromski and Jordan Klein. Zachary Weiland was terrific on defense and Dan McCarthy anchored the defense. The A-Team was led by goals from Michael Biancardi and Tim Vander Have. Noah Orakwue was solid in goal. Charlie Soto had his best game of the year on defense, disrupting the D5 attack again and again.

Benchwarmers 4, Team Two 3: The Predators and Team Two played a very strong and competitive game that came down to the last few minutes to decide the final result. The game was evenly matched with each side scoring goals to keep the game in a teeter-totter mode. The Benchwarmers’ goals were scored by Matt Hess (one) and Connor Miller (three). The defense kept the game close with Dylan Solano, Lucas LaDestro, Chris Horkachuck, and Brian Manna supporting each other prevent the tying goal with the help of Conor Murphy, who came down from midfield to support the defense throughout the game.
