KARA WALKER AT HAMMER MARCH 2

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. — The Hammer Museum will offer a walk-through of the Kara Walker exhibition Saturday, April 26, at 2 pm, with artist Ken Gonzales-Day, associate professor and chair of the Department of Art at Scripps College, and author of Lynching in the West: 1850–1935.

Gonzales-Day has exhibited widely, including solo exhibitions at LAXART; Pomona College Museum of Art, Claremont; CUE Art Foundation; and White Columns, New York. His work is also included in the upcoming exhibition “Phantom Sightings: Art After the Chicano Movement” at Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art.
