HARRISBURG, PENN. — The annual meeting of the Early American Pattern Glass Society (EAPGS) will be held April 24–26 at the Four Points by Sheraton Harrisburg hotel. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Eastern National Antiques Show and Sale at the nearby Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.

The meeting will begin on Thursday with a social hour, dinner and silent auction for members to buy and sell glass and reference works. Members use this opportunity to show off rare finds or ask for assistance in identifying pieces of patterns. Authors of various glass reference books will also be present to discuss their research and their books will be available for purchase.

Friday evening the society will hold its annual dinner, program and auction. Author and longtime member Barbara Payne will be the evening’s speaker. Jeff Evans of Green Valley Auctions will be volunteering this time as the auctioneer. A portion of all auction proceeds goes to the society.

The annual society membership meeting will be held on Saturday at 9 am. All members are urged to attend this meeting and take part in the business meeting, or make sure they return to the society the proxy members have received. The annual meeting of the society trustees is held immediately after the annual membership meeting and all members are invited to attend.

The society urges members who wish to attend the annual meeting to stay at the Four Points Sheraton and to participate in all of the activities. Reservations can be made by calling the Sheraton, 717-561-2800; indicate membership in the EAPGS.
