Police To Collect Toys For Needy Children

Members of the town police department will conduct a toy drive at Sand Hill Plaza to provide gifts of new toys for needy children during the holiday season.

Police will be positioned outside the TJ Maxx store at Sand Hill Plaza from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday, December 14, collecting donations of new toys. TJ Maxx has a toy department.

The project is known as “Stuff a Cop Car with Toys For Tots.” The toy drive is sponsored by the police union in cooperation with the police department. The Toys for Tots program is conducted by the US Marine Corps Reserve.

In past years, police had positioned themselves outside KB Toyworks at the plaza for their toy collection, but that store has gone out of business.
