On Bullying Rescheduled
The follow-up meeting for the Community Conversation on bullying has been rescheduled from March 5, to Tuesday, March 24, for supper at 5:30 pm and a meeting between 6 and 8 pm, at Reed Intermediate School.
The Community Conversation on bullying was put together after members of the Newtown Public School System and members of the Newtown Prevention Council applied for a grant from the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund. The district was awarded $2,500 to hold meetings to further the discussion on the topic of bullying.
The first meeting for the conversation was held in January.
Originally 100 people were asked to volunteer to participate in the event, and for the next community conversation meeting more people are asked to volunteer their involvement.
(Anyone interested in participating in further meetings, including the upcoming one scheduled for March 24, should email Ms Blanchard at blanchardj@newtown.k12.ct.us)
