Flag Day Ceremony

BETHEL — Cub Scouts in Bethel Pack 54 and Pack 156 are collecting flags ready for retirement, to be used in a formal flag ceremony on Sunday, June 16.

Old or tattered American flags can be dropped off at The Big Y supermarket on Stony Hill Road/Route 6, by June 14. The flags will then be retired on Sunday at Hoyt Scout Reservation in Redding.

The Scouts will also be assembling on Flag Day — Thursday, June 14 — for a flag ceremony. The public is invited to join the Scouts at 6 pm for the event.
