Stephanie Hays & Jason Burnham-Bestor

The parents of Stephanie Rebecca Hays and the parents of Jason Burnham-Bestor announce the engagement of their children. Stephanie is the daughter of Norma Hays and the late Robert A. Hays, Esq, of Newtown. Jason is the son of Mary Burnham and Jack Bestor of Sandy Hook.

The bride-to-be graduated from Newtown High School in 1995, from UConn at Storrs in 2000 with a BA in sociology and BS in physiology, and completed her studies in 2004 with a bachelor’s in nursing from Fairfield University. She is currently employed as a critical care nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and is a resident of Newtown.

The future groom also graduated from Newtown High School, as a member of the Class of 1996. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in printing management. He is now enrolled at New Horizons, working toward his MCSE. He is a resident of Sandy Hook.

The couple is planning a February wedding, to take place on the Virgin Islands.
