NEW YORK CITY — The Jewish Museum will present a discussion, “The Many Worlds Of William Steig: Artist, Author, Philosopher,” on Thursday, November 15, at 6:30 pm.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of William Steig’s birth, this panel will examine his multi-faceted body of work, including his cartoons and covers for The New Yorker and his award-winning children’s books.

Panelists will also address Steig’s strongly held views on humankind and its discontents. Panelists include Roger Angell, writer and fiction editor for The New Yorker; Edward Sorel, a regular contributor to The New Yorker and Vanity Fair, Holly McGhee, founder of Pippin Properties, Inc., and William Steig’s former literary agent; and moderator Lee Lorenz, a cartoonist for The New Yorker, former art editor of the magazine, and author of The World of William Steig.
