Dogs must be donated to the State Police and must meet the following standards for selection: German shepherd, male, age 18 months to 2½ years, with documented good health records, good retrieval skills, good social temperament, and no aggression issues.

Anyone interested in donating a dog to this program is asked to call the State Police Canine Training Unit at 203-630-5656.
