Workshop On Impact

Of ADD/ADHD

The Family Counseling Center will offer a timely topic, “The Impact of ADD/ADHD” for its free November 20 public workshop. The workshop will be held in the community meeting room of C.H. Booth Library in Newtown from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Children with ADD/ADHD may have problems following directions and/or following rules while playing with their peers. The good news is there is help for children if the disorder is identified early on and a proper treatment is established.

Amy Singer, LCSW, a therapist with Family Counseling Center, will lead the workshop. She will teach how to recognize the symptoms of ADD/ADHD in children and explain the types of treatment available.

The Family Counseling Center, located in Newtown, is a licensed and accredited nonprofit mental health agency offering counseling for families and individuals in the greater Danbury and Southbury area. For more information on any of the workshops, call the center at 426-8103.
