The New England Patriot Legends and the Newtown Hook and Ladder All Stars will square off on Sunday, September 14, in a benefit softball game sponsored by The Homesteads at Newtown, a senior living and rental community in Newtown.
The New England Patriot Legends and the Newtown Hook and Ladder All Stars will square off on Sunday, September 14, in a benefit softball game sponsored by The Homesteads at Newtown, a senior living and rental community in Newtown.
The Legends is a team comprised of former New England Patriot football players. First pitch will be at 1 pm at Dickinson Park.
The Newtown Hook and Ladder crew will be on barbecue detail and also selling popcorn, cotton candy and beverages to hungry spectators. They will also man a booth selling tee shirts, fire extinguishers and smoke alarms while The Homesteads at Newtown will set up a lively, informative booth with give-a-ways.
âThese men and woman contribute so much to the safety and peace of mind of our town, weâre delighted to be lending a hand,â said Linda Silberstein, owner of the Homesteads at Newtown. The game will help Newtown Hook and Ladder raise funds for equipment and general repairs and tickets (by donation only) will be available at the field.
