Doris S. Ojala

Doris Mae (Sherwood) Ojala, 76, of Harwood Drive, Danbury, died August 7 at her home. She was the wife of Robert W. Ojala.

Mrs Ojala was born in Torringford, October 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Hager) Sherwood. She has been a resident of Danbury for more than 50 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert E. Morrarty of Newtown; a daughter, Shirley A. Budney of Oakmont, Penn.; a brother, George Sherwood of Northford; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Doris worked at SNET and then for more than 30 years at Barden’s in Danbury. She was a lifelong Grange member and was a member of the Miry Brook Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, for over 40 years.

The funeral service was held at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division Street, Danbury on August 10.

Burial was in Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgefield.
