Police Investigate Parentsâ Complaint On Suspicious Activity
Police report a suspicious incident that occurred Saturday, February 5, while an unidentified 13-year-old boy was walking his dog on Marlin Road.
Marlin Road is a long residential street that links Toddy Hill Road to New Lebbon Road.
As the youth was walking the dog along the street about 11:25 am, a white minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country, which had two female occupants, stopped nearby. The women said âhelloâ to the boy and asked him his name, after which the female passenger asked the boy to approach the minivan, police said.
The frightened boy then ran off and reported the incident to his parents, who then contacted police. Police said they checked the area but found no minivan fitting the description provided and received no similar complaints. The boy was not injured in the incident, police said.
Police said the two women in the minivan were approximately 50 years old. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 426-5841.
