A Candidate Dedicated To Helping His Hometown
A Candidate Dedicated
To Helping His Hometown
To The Editor:
It is with great enthusiasm that I endorse Christopher Lyddyâs candidacy for the Legislative Council from District One. How often does a young man return to his hometown, roll up his sleeves, and ask, âWhat can I do to help?â Well, Chris Lyddy has done just that.
Chrisâs service to Newtown began in high school. At least that is when I came to know and work with him. Chris was president of the high school SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) group and co-chair of the Newtown Youth Servicesâ High School Youth Advisory Board. Chris was an outstanding leader then and his talent and contributions have grown exponentially since then.
I have the pleasure of serving with Chris Lyddy on several boards and town committees. (Please visit his website, LyddyforCouncil.com, to view his level of involvement in town). Now, I am a âbitâ older than Chris and my association with these organizations has evolved over time. Chris has added them all to his list of commitments within the last year. Yes, Chris is dedicated to helping.
What a wonderful opportunity for Newtown to have this energetic and dynamic young man serve us. Chris is a champion for youth and families. He has a keen intuitive sense and knows, and truly cares for, Newtown. He will listen, not just hear.
I resoundingly support Chris and encourage the voters in the First District to join me in helping to elect Chris Lyddy to the Legislative Council. Get to know him. His enthusiasm is contagious!
Sincerely,
Roseanne G. Loring
