Warrant Case

Newtown police said that David Waite, 32, of Southbury contacted Southbury police on February 6 to have them investigate an incident, after which Southbury police realized that Newtown police held an arrest warrant against Waite.

Newtown police then charged Waite with second-degree failure to appear in court and with issuing a bad check. Newtown police made the original arrest against Waite last summer.

Newtown police held Waite on $5,000 bail for a February 7 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
