Free Reiki Offered To Troops, Loved Ones

Newtowner Liz Sortino, RM/T and her company, Be Still Reiki, is offering free Reiki treatments for all our US Troops, both active and retired, and their immediate families.

“Reiki is an ancient form of stress reduction and relaxation, and that stress reduction can help promote healing,” she said in a release. “By sending life energy or chi into your body, your muscles relax, your mind empties, and sleep and peace can finally come to you. This is done with no physical contact between the practitioner and client.”

Be Still Reiki offers this service for a multiple of stress related situations, including PTSD and anxiety related to war-inflicted issues — whether physical or otherwise.

“And for troops’ families, the stress related to being left behind — all the fears of loved ones being sent off to war, or even change of routine related to issues upon loved one’s return from the front,” Ms Sortino said. “Also bereavement issues, whether new or from many years ago.”

Ms Sortino is also a volunteer Reiki Master at Ann’s Place: Home of the I Can Cancer Support Services.

“Reiki does not in anyway replace medical treatment or medication,” she said. “Reiki is only a supplement to helping your body relax, thereby enabling your capacity to heal. If you need to see a physician, then please feel advised to do so.”

Be Still Reiki books by appointments only, and is available in both Ms Sortino’s Sandy Hook and Brookfield locations. Visit BeStillReiki.vpweb.com, email bestillreiki@sbcglobal.net, or call 203-209-0731 for more information.
