Liquor Permit Suspension And Fine Levied In Alcohol Violations

In an enforcement action for alleged alcohol violations, the state Department of Consumer Protection’s Liquor Control Commission has levied a fine and issued a five-day liquor permit suspension against Hot Shots Sports Pub & Café of 130 Mt Pleasant Road (Route 6) in Hawleyville.

According to a notice from the liquor control agency, the firm has paid a fine of $1,750 and will have its liquor permit suspended for five days, from Monday, April 4, through Friday, April 8.

The liquor permit suspension has been imposed for six alleged liquor violations, according to the statement.

The alleged violations include: sale of alcohol to a minor; presence of a minor in a barroom; failure to have an alcohol container sealed; failure to display a liquor permit in plain view; an alcohol purchase/resale violation; and a violation of restrictions on alcohol sales and purchases, according to the state liquor control unit.
