Call For

‘Small Works’

Koenig FrameWorks, 97 South Main Street (Route 25) in Newtown, has issued a call for entries for an April exhibition to be called “Small Works.”

Acrylic, oil, watercolor, mixed media, pen and ink, charcoal, pastel, sculpture, etchings, and monoprints, all created for small spaces, will be accepted. Photography and jewelry are not being accepted for this show. Receiving dates will be March 21-26, daily between 10 am and 5 pm.

Artwork, excluding frame, may not exceed 12 united (length plus width) inches. Sculpture and three-dimensional art cannot be larger than 6 by 6 by 6 inches, and the artist must provide a base if the work cannot support itself or stand on its own.

Also, all artwork must be original, and must be available for sale. Prices cannot exceed $100, and the art gallery will retain a 25 percent commission of works sold.

Artists may submit up to five entries. There is a $5 entry fee for the first work, and $3 for each additional piece.

Submissions will be accepted March 21-26. The show will be on view April 1-23, with an opening reception scheduled for Friday, April 1, from 6 to 8 pm.
