Awards Day

Children’s Cuisine of Newtown held its last class and Award’s Day for its Seasonal Cooking Class on June 7.

For the day, a buffet was prepared by the students for the parents and attending guests.

Lorraine Hurley conducts the cooking class for ages 8 through 12 in The Hurley Kitchen on South Main Street. She emphasizes seasonal meals starting with fresh fruits and vegetables. The students have planted a garden to provide for the course. The students first prepare the meals, then enjoy them during the class.
