Kim Proctor Will Draw On Experiences For Garden Club

Newtown resident, garden design expert and well-known horticulturist Kimberly Day Proctor will be speaking at the Town and Country Garden Club’s next meeting.

Kim Proctor’s training, knowledge and expertise is attributed to a number of different mentors over the past 25 years. Mrs Proctor advanced her career by working at Oliver Nurseries in Fairfield with the talented designer Maggie Day, then at Twombly Nursery in Monroe, and in the graphics department at Glen Gate Company, a design building firm.

In 1995 she started her own business, known as K Day Designs, doing all types of landscape design including residential, commercial and public parks. One of her most rewarding and ongoing projects is The Pleasance, a public property owned by The Newtown Bee in the center of town.

The Town and Country Garden Club’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 9, at 7:30 pm, at the Senior Center/Multi-Purpose Building on Riverside Road in Sandy Hook.
