Rothmer Silliman, 91, of Newtown, died August 14, at his home. He was born March 24, 1921, in Dayton, Ohio, son of Esther (Ericson) and Kenneth G. Silliman.
Mr Silliman served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater as a radar technician.
He worked as an advertising salesman for Price and Lee. He married his high school sweetheart Gladys (Kraiger) Silliman, and was her loving husband for 66 years. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Mr Silliman will be missed by his children, Kenneth G. Silliman, and his wife Carolyn, of New Fairfield and Cynthia Dobosz, and her husband Theodore, of Bethel. He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Malara.
A funeral service and burial will be private and there will be no calling hours.
