Gerald J. Mullen

Gerald J. Mullen, 75, of Sandy Hook, died September 15, at home with his family gathered around him. He was born in Shropshire, England, November 11, 1936.

Mr Mullen was a certified electrical engineer by profession, and was an avid lover of books, photography, and astronomy. He was a ham radio operator, and especially loved fly fishing.

He will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Mullen; his two sons, Peter Mullen of Denton, Md., and William Mullen, and Kathy, his beloved daughter-in-law, and his grandsons, Nevada and Elijah of Nelson, N.H.  Two brothers-in-law, Robert Tavares and David Tavares, and his fishing buddy, best friend Stuart Kirkfield also survive Mr Mullen.

A memorial service will be held at a time yet to be determined.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is serving the family.
