Datahr Hires Lydem As APRN
BROOKFIELD â Mary Ellen Lydem of Newtown has accepted the position of advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) for the Datahr Rehabilitation Institute.
She will be responsible for health promotion and maintenance, prevention of disease and disability, identification, management and referral of health problems.
An advanced practice registered nurse collaborates with physicians to promote comfort and health by treating illness promptly and effectively. Persons who receive Datahr services will be able to utilize the APRN services at two locations. She also will make house calls for those who are too sick to travel.
An objective of Datahr is to allow people to be as independent and comfortable as possible at work and at home.
âItâs about peopleâs lives, and this is a way of enhancing our services without creating an institutional or medical focus,â said Carole Bergeron, Datahr vice president of marketing and planning.
