New ScriptSave Program To Save Participants
Up To 35 Percent On Prescriptions
WATERBURY â Waterbury Hospitalâs Evergreen Club 50 wellness organization is now offering a no-cost program that can save club members significant money on prescription drugs. The program is called ScriptSave and it provides savings of between 5 and 35 percent off medications, whether they are generic or brand name.
âThis is one of the most exciting programs weâve ever been able to offer our members,â said Beverly Aabjerg, coordinator of Evergreen Club 50, which has 20,000 members in Greater Waterbury. âThe high cost of medications is one of the biggest concerns among our membership. With this card, people will see an immediate savings.â
Members will also receive coupons in the mail for over-the-counter medications. Waterbury Hospital is the only healthcare facility in Greater Waterbury to offer the program. The card may also be used for other family members.
With the ScriptSave discount card, there are no fees, no waiting periods, and no pre-existing exclusions. However, the card cannot be used in conjunction with any insurance prescription benefits. The cards are honored at more than 30,000 pharmacies nationwide, including Arrow, Brooks, Della Pietra, K-Mart, Martinâs, Rite Aid, Stollâs, Stop & Shop, Waldbaumâs, and W.H. Pickett, as well as many independent pharmacies.
To obtain a card, members of Evergreen Club 50 should send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Evergreen Club 50, c/o Waterbury Hospital, 64 Robbins Street, Waterbury, CT 06708; or call 203/573-7385.
Anyone who is interested in becoming a member of Evergreen Club 50 should call 203/573-7385. The club is now celebrating its tenth anniversary. Membership is free and benefits include free or low-cost wellness seminars and health screenings, free hospital parking, discounted valet parking, Medicare counseling, and much more.
