Choral Society To Begin Rehearsals

Newtown Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its new season on Wednesday, September 12, at Newtown Middle School under the direction of Mary Andreotta.

The organization welcomes members from all area towns. There are openings in all voices — bass, tenor, soprano and alto.

Rehearsals begin at 7:15 and are held weekly at the middle school. For information call 426-3769.

Now in its 11th year, Newtown Choral Society has been awarded a matching grant from Connecticut Commission on the Arts. The grant will be used to underwrite the choral society’s performance of J. Woolcock’s Magnificat in early December.
