Teamwork Makes

To the Editor:

I am writing to thank everyone — each board that worked together towards a goal that was attainable. What a difference to have everyone work as a team. Thank you to all the PTAs and the advocacy group for getting the message out consistently and never losing their enthusiasm. I would also like to thank Janet Robinson, our superintendent who has taken the time to get involved in a big way. In a very short time she has truly grasped how wonderful our school system and town are and was willing to help us every step of the way.

And last but not least, thank you to everyone who voted. The overwhelming turnout combined with the fact that the budget referendum, high school addition and community/senior center all passed showed that people felt strongly on these issues and took the time to come out and vote. This includes even those who voted no because that is the true democratic process as everyone should have a voice.

This is the Newtown I am proud of.
