All-Around Great Gymnast

Sandy Hook’s Jackie Sgobbo recently competed in the Connecticut State Gymnastics Competition at Next Dimension Gymnastics in Trumbull, and earned the 12-year-old division championship. Sgobbo, a seventh-grader at Newtown Middle School, trains at Vasi’s Gymnastics. She scored a 37 in the All-Around, 9.4 on vault, 9.375 on bars, 9.325 on balance beam, and 8.9 on floor.
