Family Literacy Grant

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield County Foundation’s Board of Directors has approved a $15,000 discretionary grant to Fairfield University to support the University’s and the Action for Bridgeport Community Development’s (ABCD) new partnership with Housatonic Community College to enhance HCC’s family literacy program.

The grant will enable project director Judith Primavera, PhD, of Fairfield University and ABCD to embark on a collaborative training relationship with HCC. The project will create three family literacy training modules for dissemination to the larger Bridgeport community.
