Beautifying Riverside
Beautifying Riverside
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Riverside on Lake Zoar Association (ROLZA), we would like to extend our most sincere thanks and appreciation to the following students of Newtown High School who have chosen our community for their American Studies Project. We would like to thank Lisa Masella, Heather Morgan, Cuyler Bryant, and Kacey Miklaszewski for devoting several hours of their time to beautify the ROLZA Community Lake Pavilion on Alpine Drive in Sandy Hook.
Lisa, Heather, Cuyler and Kacey spent weekend and afternoon hours cleaning and weeding the beach area as well as creating flower gardens around the pavilion. Due to the commitment and diligence of this group of young adults, our pavilion and beach has been restored to its former beauty for our entire community to enjoy.
As these students epitomize the spirit of âcommunityâ and volunteer service within our town, we would like to formally recognize their efforts and commend them for a job well done. Lisa, Heather, Cuyler and Kacey have left a lasting impression on the residents of ROLZA and have inspired those within our neighborhood to carry the torch of community service forward into the future.
We also would like to thank the Newtown school system for supporting these types of volunteer projects for young adults, which greatly assist in making Newtown a wonderful place to live.
Regards,
Robert Frangione â president;
Victoria Zandonella â vice president;
Kim Burnham â Treasurer; Lynn Ingrassia â Secretary
