Literary Wednesdays
EASTON â Easton Public Libraryâs successful âLiterary Wednesdaysâ series will continue on April 14. All are invited to join host Mary Luongo as she reads poems and short stories and then opens her readings for discussion.
The poems and short stories are available at the library in advance of the discussions but it is not necessary to have read the material to participate. It is also not necessary to have been to the first program in the series in order to join the April 14 program.
Ms Luongo juxtaposes contemporary works with older, classic ones and hopes for lively discussion. For April 14, the poems under discussion have been written by Emily Dickinson and Wislawa Szymborska.
For April 28, the short story A Small, Good Thing by Raymond Carver will be compared with an author and title yet to be decided.
Participants may attend one, two or all three sessions. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is not necessary.
âLiterary Wednesdaysâ runs from 7 to 8 pm.
Easton Public Library is at the corner of Center and Morehouse road, across from Easton Police Station. For further information call 261-0134.
