WestConn Summer Music Camps Offering Enriching Alternative

DANBURY — Some camps feature archery, arts and crafts, or sleeping under the stars. Campers in Western Connecticut State University’s creative arts music program this summer will be wielding a different kind of bow, creating melodies instead of macramé bracelets, and interacting with renowned instrumental performance stars.

This July and early August, Western Connecticut’s music department faculty will again be joined by an assemblage of professionals to offer four summer music camps on the university’s midtown campus, 181 White Street. Band and string instrumentalists in grades five through 12 and flutists of all ages will have the opportunity to make music, memories, and friends in a creative and caring environment.

For costs and other information, call 837-8614 or the WestConn Office of Public Relations at 837-8486. Log on to www.wcsu.edu/summermusic for application forms, faculty biographies, and additional information.
