National Speakers Association

Internationally known management consultant, executive coach and seminar leader Chris Jensen, a resident of Newtown, has become a member of The National Speakers Association (NSA), a leading organization for those who speak professionally.

To be accepted into the NSA, applicants must undergo a rigorous screening process, demonstrating extensive public speaking experience. In affiliating with the organization, Mr Jensen joins a select number of experts in a variety of industries and disciplines who reach audiences as trainers, educators, humorists, motivators, consultants and authors.

Mr Jensen, who is a principal of the Newtown-based company The Dan Group, has developed his public speaking skills throughout a 30-year career in personal and professional development. His background represents a unique blend of skills and expertise.  Jensen grew up in the automobile business and raced sports cars on a semi-professional basis. His product management and sales skills were honed during stints at the Becton-Dickinson Corporation and Bard-Parker Co., Inc.

His career path then led to training and consulting in 1969 when he worked for Silva International, Inc., a Texas-based firm offering personal and business development training programs, and later Learning Dynamics, Inc., a Massachusetts-based sales and management training company.

In 1986, Mr Jensen formed The Dan Group, a management training and consulting firm. Since that time, he has been widely sought after as a professional speaker and presenter, focusing on process improvement that builds employee and customer loyalty resulting in increased growth, profits and corporate value.

 Jensen has presented speeches, workshops and training sessions for a broad spectrum of clients in Fairfield County, including People’s Bank of Bridgeport; Savings Bank of Danbury; Didona Associates and Enterprise Electrical Corp., both of Danbury; Kais Custom Builders of Norwalk; Hobbs, Inc., of New Canaan; Hexcel Corp., of Stamford; Deloitte-Touche of Wilton; and Wentworth Labs of Brookfield.

Clients have also included the IBM Corporation, University of Massachusetts Medical Center, New York City Transit Authority, Hershey Foods Corporation, The Huntington National Bank, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Martin Marietta Manned Space Systems, and Equitable Life Insurance, among others.
