Climate Change:

How Can We Make A Difference?

DERBY — The Naugatuck Valley Audubon Society in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Kellogg Environmental Center will host a presentation by Lynn Stoddard on Tuesday, November 21, at 7:30 pm.

Ms Stoddard is an environmental analyst with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. She will present information on the State of Connecticut’s leadership on addressing climate change and actions all take as individuals, organizations, and communities.

Connecticut is viewed as a national leader in developing solutions to climate change. Initiatives include adopting cleaner car emission standards, providing a clean energy option for state residents and businesses, and forward-thinking actions taken by towns, businesses, schools, universities, and faith communities. The presentation will focus on solutions that engage individuals and local communities.

Kellogg Environmental Center is at 500 Hawthorne Avenue off Route 34; watch for signs. A donation of $4 adult and $2 student for nonmembers of the Naugatuck Valley Audubon Society is requested.
