To the Editor:
Last summer, Dan Shea interviewed all seven Newtown school principals. Dan also participated in scheduled meetings this summer with the superintendent and the assistant superintendent of Newtown schools. Dan will be meeting with the director of special education later this month. Why does Dan do all this? He does this because he wants to be prepared, to be knowledgeable, and to make decisions that are the best for the children of Newtown. He goes that extra mile because he is a thorough and conscientious Newtown Board of Education candidate who wants to make decisions that will position Newtown students to receive superlative educations.
Dan was a high school teacher for 35 years and is very aware of the problems and the solutions that must be addressed if our schools are to succeed and our children are to receive the educations they most certainly deserve. Dan is ready to tackle those problems and has the answers.
I strongly recommend that you vote for Dan Shea for the Newtown Board of Education because I do not know of anyone else on the ballot who will work as hard or make the informed decisions as will Dan Shea. When Dan commits to a cause, he sees it through to its successful conclusion.
Dan has committed himself to making the Newtown schools second to none and is presently preparing to make this goal a reality. Having known Dan for over 30 years, I am confident he will succeed, and, thus, I strongly recommend that all Newtown residents who are serious about elevating the stature and rigor of our schools vote for Dan Shea, the candidate who always does his homework.
Sincerely,
Jack Huray, CPA
