TBTA Issues 2013 Season

Call For Directors

BROOKFIELD — The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts is looking for enthusiastic directors willing to share their energy and talents for the theater’s 2013 season. Those interested in directing a play or a musical at TBTA next year are invited to submit a proposal by August 31, 2012.

Production proposals should include:

*A brief outline of the production requirements for the show, including cast size, ideas for set, lighting, costuming, technical and creative personnel needed;

*A copy of the script (or, if a musical, the recording) of the piece being proposed;

*A preference with regard to the time of when the production would be staged (winter/spring, spring/summer, summer/fall, fall/winter);

*Contact information; and

*A resume including any relevant information e.g. coursework (university/graduate/etc.), on- and off-stage experience, involvement with local theatres, and references.

Proposals should be mailed to TBTA — Attention Artistic Director Michael Burnett, PO Box 528, Brookfield CT 06804.

Those unfamiliar with TBTA are encouraged to visit the theater’s website (www.brookfieldtheatre.org) or send an email to tbta@BrookfieldTheatre.org) with any questions.

The four main shows of TBTA’s season each run for three weekends for non-musicals and four weekends for musicals (between seven and 14 performances). The theater would also be interested in considering smaller shows, script readings, a weekend of one-acts etc, that could run in between main stage shows or outside of the regularly scheduled season.
