 Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Josephine and Robert J. Ryan, Sr, of 17 Fullmar Lane, Norwalk, celebrated their 50th anniversary at a party held on May 20 at the home of the Solheims in Sandy Hook.

The surprise celebration, given by their children and grandchildren, was attended by approximately 50 relatives and friends, including Mary Toss, Jack Ryan, and Patricia Currie, members of their bridal party.

The Ryans were married on April 29, 1950, at St Joseph’s Church in South Norwalk. Mrs Ryan is the former Josephine Mariani.

Their family includes Janis (Ryan) and Peter Solheim, and Shannon, Shelley, Kimberly, and Renee Solheim of Sandy Hook; Judy (Ryan) and David Raymond, and Bryan, Dan, and Erica Raymond of Newtown; Robin (Ryan) and Frank Bartoli, and Rachel Bartoli of Norwalk; Jill and Robert J. Ryan, Jr, and Forest and Austin Ryan of Monroe; and Jennifer (Ryan) and Steven Baranello and Jack Baranello of Norwalk.

The Ryans also celebrated this special anniversary with a cruise to Bermuda.
