The Friday evening performance of Newtown High School’s City of Angels has been cancelled, due to the anticipated weather, according to Newtown High School.

The musical production of City Of Angels opened for audiences on Thursday, March 19, and is running through Sunday, March 22.

City of Angels is a musical about a novelist trying to turn a book into a screenplay, and it shows both the plot of the writer’s attempt to create a screenplay and the plot of the fictional film being creating.

According to NHS, tickets purchased in advance for the Friday evening performance will be good for either the Saturday or Sunday performances.

The City of Angels Saturday, March 21, performances is set for 7 pm, and the Sunday, March 22, performance is set for 2 pm. Tickets are $14 for students and senior citizens and $18 for adults.

Tickets will be available at the door and are available in advance online at nhsc.booktix.com.

The production team is Director Jane Matson, Producer Janice Gabriel, Musical Director Brett Boles, Rehearsal Pit Conductor Kurt Eckhardt, and Technical Advisor Brian Tenney.
