Mary V. Nolan

Mary V. Nolan, 76, of 209 Sugar Street, Newtown, died November 2 at her home.

Miss Nolan was born in Taftville, September 8, 1923, a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Fitzmaurice) Nolan.  Shortly after her birth, her family moved to New York City where she was educated.  She graduated in 1947 from the Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.

Miss Nolan moved to Newtown in 1950 and for several years did private duty nursing at Danbury Hospital.  For over 20 years she was employed by the Newtown Visiting Nurse Association as Newtown’s visiting nurse.  She was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church.

Miss Nolan’s only survivors are several cousins in New Bedford, Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Rose Church on Friday, November 5 at 10 am.  Interment will be in St Rose Cemetery at a later date.  There are no calling hours.

Arrangements were by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
