TPU Offers New Business Degree

Teikyo Post University (TPU) has announced its Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, formerly named Integrated Business. This degree is designed to take the student beyond learning the basics about accounting, finance, marketing, economics, and personnel theory, to learning how to effectively pull all these areas of business together. The Connecticut Department of Higher Education granted the university permission to rename this degree to better reflect TPU’s emphasis on an interdisciplinary, broad-based curriculum with a strong commitment to assisting students in making more informed decisions upon selecting a major.

The degree adheres to the highest and most current standards of the profession, while providing considerable flexibility in course selection with the availability of eight concentrations, according to the university. The curriculum builds on a solid liberal arts and business foundation while allowing students to choose a concentration in accounting, computer information systems, early childhood education, finance, international business, legal studies, management, or marketing.

The degree is designed to prepare students to become organizational leaders by providing a focused and comprehensive understanding of business. Students will develop the skills, abilities, and personal characteristics that are needed to effectively manage people, resources, and information in a dynamic business environment.

The Division of Accelerated Degree Programs offers the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in an accelerated format; a format specifically designed for busy working adults. Students can combine weeknight, weekend, and online courses for maximum flexibility in their course schedule. The Accelerated Degree Program has many benefits including small class sizes, instructors that work in the field in which they teach, and a reputation for academic excellence for more than 25 years.
