Fritzell, Studley Named To Board Positions At USB
DANBURY â Thomas A. Frizzell of Danbury has been named chairman of the Board of Trustees of Union Savings Bank, succeeding Newtown resident Richard L. Sturdevant.
Donald T. Studley of Newtown also was elected to the board.
Mr Sturdevant retired from the board on March 31 after serving 21 years, the last three as chairman. Mr Frizzell joined the bank as a corporator in 1974, was named a trustee of the board in 1984, and in recent years served as vice chairman. He is an attorney with the firm Driscoll, Talarico, Frizzell, Olivo & Driscoll in Danbury.
Donald Studley was a corporator of the bank from 1985 to 1997 and was reelected in 2003. He is a partner with Studley, White & Associates, PC, a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a lecturer in accounting at the University of Bridgeport.
Mr Studley received a bachelorâs degree from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. He is the first president of the Heritage Preservation Trust of Newtown, which is responsible for The Meeting House; deputy governor of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, and is involved in many other community organizations.

The bank has 17 offices in Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, Newtown, New Milford, Ridgefield, and Sharon, and a new office opening in Southbury later this year.
