Pass The Upzoning Plan ASAP
Pass The Upzoning Plan ASAP
To the Editor:
We live in the area that would be affected by the potential new upzoning regulation being considered. We welcome the proposal enthusiastically. We believe the increased zoning would protect the integrity of the water that my family everybody elseâs depends on. From a resident and homeownerâs perspective, we really canât think of anything much more important than that. We also believe that preserving whatâs left of Newtownâs open space is important, and this will help in some small way. Our home is our largest investment. Ultimately this proposal should preserve and possibly increase the ultimate value of our property, by protecting the natural resources and rural character surrounding it.
Incidentally, we need to put a deck on our house this year and donât mind whatsoever if weâre slightly inconvenienced due to zone non-conformance. It is a very small price to pay for the future of clean water and low housing density. We urge the P&Z to pass it ASAP.
