Author To Speak At Ann’s Place

DANBURY — Ann’s Place, the Home of I CAN, will be participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a speaker on Wednesday, October 3, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.

Vickie Girard, author of There’s No Place Like Hope, will be speaking about her own experiences as a breast cancer survivor. She will offer practical guidance to other cancer survivors in dealing with the daily struggles of living with cancer, from hair loss to filing insurance claims.

Ms Girard will also have copies of her book for purchase and signing. The meeting will be at The Gardens, assisted living facility on Glen Hill Road in Danbury. If you are interested in attending, please call Ann’s Place at 203-790-6568 to register. Refreshments will be served.
