NCC Welcomes 16 Confirmands

Newtown Congregational Church received 16 confirmation students and three adults into membership on Sunday, June 3, during the 10 am worship service.

New adult members are Kimberley Burns and Robert and Susan Mouchantat.

Student members completing the ten-month confirmation class and now joining the church were Elizabeth Anderson, Richard Emilio Andreotta, Stephanie Lynn Badick, Lyndsey Erinn Burns, Katherine Miriam Cochrane, Nathan Philip Crevier, Michelle Marie Davies, Nichole Ashley Escoda,P Sarah Nicole Ferris, Michael Hadgraft, Andrew Richard Lapple, Jacey Kathryn Mattegat, Samuel Norcross, Herlof Bernard Sorensen, and Jeffrey Andrew Spencer.

Helping with the confirmation were mentors Barbara Bigham, Douglas Body, Jerry Cole, Chris Farrington, Ilse Foster, Bill Sherman, and Vicky Truitt.  Deacon Jane Landgrebe assisted in the service, which was led by the Revs Lee Moore, interim senior pastor, and Janice Touloukian, associate pastor.

The new members were honored with a reception and celebration cake in the Great Room following the worship and communion service.
