Free Wellness Seminars At Ridgefield Community Center
RIDGEFIELD â The Ridgefield Community Center is hosting a new Wellness Morning series, the first of which will be held on Wednesday, June 16, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The series will provide a unique opportunity to meet with a diversified group of wellness practitioners and learn how their practices can improve health.
Each session will share a common theme. The June 16 meeting will focus on stress management. Eight different minilectures of 15 minutes beginning at 10 will be held throughout the morning on how stress affects the body and effective health-promoting strategies. Each practitioner will present more detail on his/her specific practice outside the lecture room and will be available to answer questions.
Practitioners for the June 16 program include Karen Siclare, nutrition and exercise counseling/training; Valerie Schneiderman/The Yoga Shala, Ashtanga Yoga philosophy; Renuka Kumar, meditation and yoga; Bill Sadick, hypnotherapist; Deanna LoGiudice, massage therapist; Terry Pawson, reflexology; Grace Donofrio, flower remedies; James Fitzpatrick, acupuncture/Chinese medicine; Susan Seven-Sky, neuromuscular therapy/homeopathy; Ron Bordash, chiropractor; and Michelle Lucas, social worker.
