Amber Alert Kids ID Session
Amber Alert Kids ID Session
BETHEL â The merchants of Redwood Plaza, 78 Stony Hill Road, in conjunction with the Rotary Club District 7980 and the Connecticut State Police Amber Alert Center at the Department of Public Safety, are sponsoring an Amber Kids ID Session on Saturday, September 18, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Rotary Amber Kids ID brings the latest technology to the Amber Alert Program. With the new system, a childâs colored digital picture is embedded onto a wallet sized plastic card along with minimal, yet essential information needed to find a child in the event of an abduction.
In addition to the card, strongly encrypted computer data, not connected to the Internet or any other system, can be accessed by the state police immediately upon a childâs abduction.
The Amber Alert Kids ID Session is a free, voluntary program for all children under the age of 18. Parents and legal guardians are asked to fill out and sign a brief consent form.
