Girls U16

Watertown 3, Hurricanes 2 – Kate Bowen scored a pair of goals, but the Hurricanes dropped a season-opening decision to a tough, veteran team from Watertown. Danielle Norris provided an assist while Kelley Sullivan, Natalie Villa and Meghan Barbour played well on defense.

Girls U12

Power 2, Danbury 1 – Ali Korchman scored two goals on assists from Kelley Gaston and Ale Fuentes to lead the Power to the season-opening win. Christina Caporale Jessica Jowdy and Hannah Maret played well in the midfield as Leah Barrett, Cassie Fallon and Brooke Leifels played solid defense. Kendall Svanda and Stephanie Clavette shared the goalkeeping.

Boys U12

Force 5, Sherman 1 – Travis LeBlanc scored two goals while John Imbimbo, Justin Brophy and Sean Burson scored one apiece to lead the Force to a season-opening win. Joe Van Veen and Brophy both added assists as Trevor Carey, Jimmy Mooney and Peter Ovendorf all played great defense.

Boys U11

Cobras 3, Watertown 1 – Christian Mather and Chris Erikson each had a goal and an assist and Nick Barreto added the third goal to lead the Cobras to a season-opening win over Watertown. The midfield was controlled by Nick Barreto and Matt Rahtelli as Noah Sock, Sam Langdon, Andrew Kelley and Chris Thornberg provided the defensive wall that kept Watertown at bay.
