*A reminder this week that 150 RPM, an acoustic/electric trio with an emphasis on strong vocal harmonies, will be playing Friday, December 8, from 8 to 11 pm, at Proud Mary’s, the lounge located at The Inn At Newtown, 19 Main Street in Newtown (telephone 270-1876). They will also appear at Proud Mary’s on December 29 and 30.

*Coming to the arena at Mohegan Sun in just over one month will be The Unpredictable Tour with Dreamgirls star and singer JAMIE FOXX and co-headliner FANTASIA, the winner of American Idol’s third season. Tickets for this show, which will be performing in Uncasville on Friday, January 19, will be on sale Friday, December 8, at 10 am.

Tickets have been set at $60 and $80 and will be available through TicketMaster vendors on Friday; remaining tickets will also be available through the Mohegan Sun Arena box office on Saturday.

*One year after their sold-out concert at the same venue, HALL & OATES will return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, March 17, at 8 pm. Tickets for that show will be going on sale Saturday, December 9, at 10 am, through TicketMaster vendors. All seats are $35.

Remaining tickets will also be available at the arena’s box office beginning Sunday morning.

*Also going on sale this weekend – Friday morning at 10 – will be tickets for a country concert at The Chevrolet Theatre. SUGARLAND, who has been having a spectacular year, will be in Wallingford on Thursday, February 1, with Little Big Town.

Tickets for that concert are $38 and $48 each, and will be sold through TicketMaster outlets, LiveNation.com, and the box office at the theater.

*Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook will host two Christmas shows next weekend. First, on Friday, December 15, will be something currently being billed as simply “Christmas Show theater.” Stop in after 7 or so to find out what that’s all about.

Then on Saturday, Java Song will offer its third annual Christmas Night.

JENNY LEE & FREE THOUGHT will headline on Friday, December 22, and JS WINE returns the following evening. Mocha is at 3 Glen Road in Sandy Hook. Plenty of parking is available – don’t let the small number of spaces in front of the coffee house itself scare you. There’s a full, paved and fairly well lit free public parking lot one driveway down.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
