Police Seek Owners Of Found Items
Sergeant Darlene Froehlich, who oversees found property for police, said this week she is holding six found items for return to their owners.
They include: an iPod-brand music player that was found January 3 at the intersection of Parmalee Hill Road and Currituck Road; an unspecified sum of money found December 31 in the parking at Blue Colony Diner on Church Hill Road; a childâs purse found December 15 at the Big Y supermarket parking lot at 5 Queen Street; a set of keys found December 6 in the parking lot near the Board of Education offices at 31 Peckâs Lane; a silver-colored cane found November 22 near the Super Stop & Shop supermarket at Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street; and a adultâs mountain bike that was found November 16 on Walnut Tree Hill Road.
The owners of the found items should contact Sgt Froehlich at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 426-5841, to claim the items.
