Congregation Adath Israelâs religious school is hosting an Open House Tuesday, September 4, at 7:30 pm at the synagogue on 111 Huntingtown Road, Newtown.
The informational evening is open to members and area residents considering joining the synagogue, which was founded in 1909.
Religious education at the congregation consists of Sunday School classes for grades K-7 and weekday Hebrew School for grades 4-7. All sessions follow the Newtown public school calendar.
Moshe Betan, the synagogue rabbi and school principal, will be present during the Open House to meet and greet parents as well as to answer questions regarding policy and curriculum.
The schoolâs teachers will also be in attendance to explain what is covered in their classes.
Handbooks detailing information on the school (such as class times, calendar, student events, and open/close policy) will be distributed.
