Semra Temel-Reed
Semra Temel-Reed, 56, of Newtown died June 15 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Greenwich, and was the daughter of the late Margaret and Selim Temel of Greenwich. (Her father was a co-founder of Microphase Corporation of Shelton.)
Semra attended Greenwich Academy and graduated from the New Hampton School in New Hampshire. She earned a BA in English from New England College in New Hampshire, where she was active with the radio station, forensics team, and theater department. Her profession was corporate human resources.
Ms Temel-Reed touched the spirit of friends and family with her gentle manner, kindness, and compassion.
Her husband, Barnett Reed, who is retired from Peter Cadoux Architects in Westport; her loving brother, Derin Temel, and his wife Elaine, of Westerly, R.I.; and two nephews survive her.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life at the Dana-Holcombe House, 29 Main Street, Newtown, on Tuesday, July 14, at 2 pm.
